I am honored to have a pair of hummingbirds (‘Squeak’ & ‘Peek’) making regular visits to my Rose of Sharon tree. ‘Peek’ has become so accustomed to my presence, he actually lands repeatedly on the tree while I’m just a few feet away!

Meet my friendly neighborhood bumblebee – Mr. Bumbles! He visits my back deck daily for pollen…and doesn’t mind me getting VERY close!
One day, a curious male Cardinal decided to venture out of the tree-line into the back yard. He stayed on the ground, hopping in the open for quite some time.

Today, a cardinal was eating carefully along the tree-line with some fellow birds.
This cardinal thought he could hide in the bush line…but apparently forgot he’s bright red!
