1. Overview
Contego Media LLC is committed to complying with applicable export control laws, trade sanctions, and regional access restrictions. This Policy describes user obligations and Platform limitations relating to the export, download, and use of content and services in connection with restricted regions, sanctioned parties, and prohibited end uses.
2. User Responsibility for Lawful Export & Use
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of Contego Media — including downloading, exporting, distributing, and publishing content created through the Platform — complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction and any jurisdiction in which you distribute or publish that content.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Applicable export control laws and regulations of your country and the United States.
- Trade sanctions laws administered by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and equivalent regulatory bodies in other jurisdictions.
- All local, national, and international laws governing the distribution of digital content, audio, video, artwork, and AI-generated outputs.
3. Sanctions & Restricted Regions
Contego Media does not permit access to or use of the Platform by individuals, organizations, or entities located in, or acting on behalf of, jurisdictions subject to comprehensive U.S. trade sanctions or equivalent restrictions under applicable law. This includes, but is not limited to, regions designated as comprehensively sanctioned by OFAC from time to time.
We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Platform for users in restricted regions without prior notice, in order to maintain compliance with applicable sanctions law.
4. Denied Parties & Prohibited End Uses
You represent and warrant that:
- You are not located in, or a national or resident of, any country or region subject to a comprehensive U.S. government embargo or equivalent sanction.
- You are not listed on any U.S. government denied party list, including OFAC's Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List, the BIS Entity List, or equivalent lists.
- You will not use Contego Media or any content exported from the Platform for any prohibited end use under applicable law, including the development of weapons of mass destruction, terrorist activities, or other illegal purposes.
- You will not resell, transfer, or re-export Platform services or outputs to any sanctioned party, denied party, or restricted end user.
Contego Media reserves the right to request verification of eligibility and to refuse service to any party we reasonably believe may be subject to sanctions or export restrictions.
5. Compliance Certification
By using Contego Media, you certify that:
- You are authorized under applicable law to access and use the Platform and to download and export outputs from the Platform.
- Your use of the Platform and any exports or distributions of content created through the Platform comply with all applicable export control laws and trade sanctions regulations.
- You will promptly notify us at support@contego.media if you become aware of any change in circumstances that would cause you to be in violation of this Policy.
6. Platform Right to Restrict Access
Contego Media reserves the right to:
- Restrict or terminate access to users or regions where continued access would violate applicable law or regulatory guidance.
- Decline to process payments, exports, or downloads associated with restricted parties or regions.
- Take any other action necessary to maintain compliance with applicable export control or sanctions law.
Such restrictions may be implemented automatically based on geographic signals (IP address, billing address, or other available data) and may not always be accompanied by advance notice.
7. Changes to This Policy
This Policy may be updated to reflect changes in applicable law, regulatory guidance, or Platform operations. We will post updates with a revised date.
