6. Sharing with Service Providers & Processors
We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Platform, including:
- Cloud storage providers — for storing your files and project data.
- Payment processors — for handling subscription billing securely.
- Analytics providers — for understanding how the Platform is used in aggregate.
- Email delivery providers — for sending transactional and service communications.
- Infrastructure and CDN providers — for delivering Platform content reliably.
These providers are contractually required to use your data only as directed by us and in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Contego Media, our users, or the public.
6a. Cloud Storage Provider
Files you upload to Contego Media — including audio files, project files, artwork, and exports — are stored using Cloudflare R2, a cloud object storage service operated by Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare is a third-party infrastructure provider. Your files are stored within Cloudflare's infrastructure and are subject to Cloudflare's own terms and data handling practices.
Contego Media does not sell or share your uploaded files with Cloudflare beyond what is technically necessary to store and retrieve them on your behalf. Files stored via Cloudflare R2 are private to your account and are not publicly accessible without a time-limited link generated through your authenticated session.
For more information about Cloudflare's data practices, visit cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
6b. File Security
Files you upload are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored in private, access-controlled cloud storage. Files are not publicly accessible by URL without a time-limited signed link generated for your authenticated session.
We implement technical measures to help protect stored files, but no storage system is completely immune to risk. We recommend keeping local backups of any files that are important to you.
We reserve the right to remove files that violate our Content Policy.
6c. File Library & Private Files
Files stored in your Contego Media File Library are private to your account and are not shared with other users, publicly indexed, or used for advertising purposes. Your files are used solely to provide you with the storage, playback, and export features of the platform.
If your account is deactivated or your paid plan expires, file retention is subject to the terms of your plan. We encourage you to download copies of important files before your access changes or expires.
7. International Data Transfers
Contego Media LLC is based in the United States. If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other regions with data protection laws, please be aware that your personal data may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Where such transfers occur, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, which may include standard contractual clauses (SCCs) approved by relevant authorities, or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your data may be processed in countries with data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.
For questions about our transfer mechanisms, contact us at support@contego.media.

- Billing & transaction records: Retained for the period required by applicable financial and tax regulations.
- Log & technical data: Retained for limited operational and security purposes, typically no longer than 90 days unless a longer period is required for an active investigation or legal obligation.

You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time (see Section 10).
9. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encryption in transit, access controls, and secure infrastructure. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
